Use of Sharpies and other Ballot Marking pens

Felt tip pens, as well as sharpies, ARE able to be scanned by our machines. We encourage the use of ball point pens to avoid bleed through on the ballots that can happen with the use of felt tip or sharpie pens, but this does not cause an issue when tabulating ballots. Read more
